Support for an orphanage

After supporting the development of the Anwiankwanta orphanage between 2009 and 2012, the Addax and Oryx Foundation acceded to a request from SOL-GH to provide an exceptional contribution to the orphanage’s budget for 3 to 5 years, in order to ensure its financial stability for the period. In parallel, SOL-GH launched more extensive fundraising initiatives, in order to secure funding for the longer-term, together with an agricultural project to produce crops for domestic consumption and sale, which will help reduce financial dependence on the outside world.

The NGO:
The organisation Save Our Lives - Ghana (SOL-GH) was founded in 2001 by Paulina Opei, to administer the orphanage she founded in Ghana. It aims to provide orphans (aged 0-18 years old) with a stable environment and a decent family life, allowing them to grow and blossom. Emphasis is also focused on education and training, in order to equip them with sufficient skills to integrate society as they become adults.
